A Special Call Meeting of the Lawrenceville Town Council was called to order on April 6, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Douglas R. Pond.
Roll was called with the following present: Mayor Douglas R. Pond; Council Members: Joyce D. Bland, H. B. Brockwell, Jr., Harry S. Holman, Scott E. Martin and Esther B. Sanderson; Town Manager, C. J. Dean, Town Clerk, Alice B. Talbert.
Absent: Council Member, Vanessa Y. Jones and Robert F. Pecht, III.
Mr. Dean stated that the Grant application from Virginia Department of Health for the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade had made it to the next level. However, Mr. Dean was informed on Friday morning that they needed a Resolution adopted by Council rather than the copy of the minutes approving applying for the Grant. Copies of the Resolution were given to Council. A motion was made by Mr. Brockwell to adopt the Resolution for the Lawrenceville Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Grant from the Virginia Department of Health. This motion was seconded by Mr. Holman and carried by the following roll call vote: Aye: Bland, Brockwell, Holman, Martin and Sanderson; Nay 0; absent: Jones and Pecht
A motion was made by Mrs. Sanderson and seconded by Mr. Brockwell to adjourn. This carried by all ayes.
