LAWRENCEVILLE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

|
Only a few locations can guarantee the right combination of resources that are crucial to your business's success. We believe Lawrenceville, Virginia, is one of those locations. Our unique combination of assets has encouraged businesses to prosper in this area for hundreds of years.
Lawrenceville is a town of 1,275 people (2000 census), covers 0.9 square mile and is the county seat for Brunswick County. Lawrenceville is the home of Saint Paul's College.
Brunswick is located in the south-central Piedmont Region of Virginia. Brunswick County has been traditionally known for its tobacco-based agricultural and forest products economy and as the home of "brunswick stew." The county is located on Lake Gaston, a 20,000 acre lake that provides recreation for a large part of Virginia and North Carolina.
In addition to Lawrenceville there are two other incorporated towns, Alberta, and Brodnax. All three are all situated on either interstate or four-lane primary highways. Brunswick County is 64 miles southwest of Richmond, the state capital; about 75 miles northeast of Raleigh, N.C.; and Norfolk is 90 miles to the east.
