Wastewater Plant Operator
Candidates must possess a valid Virginia Class B CDL operator’s license and a valid Class IV or higher VA wastewater operator’s license. Candidates should have several years direct experience in the operation of wastewater plants. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have above average math and science skills as well as be able to lift substantial weights.
The wastewater plant operator will work under the supervision of the Chief wastewater plant operator. The duties of the operator will include but not be limited to the following: operation and maintenance of a 1.2 MGD municipal wastewater plant, control testing and permit required testing, be available to work weekends, holidays, shift work, and emergency calls, follow the written and oral directions of chief operator.
